Loch Fyne and the Glasgow Festival 2014
The Queens Baton arrived in Scotland on the 14th June and is now embarking on the last leg of its journey. Commencing in October 2013 the relay has encompassed all 70 of the Commonwealth nations.
Today the baton arrived at the GWCT Game Fair, held in the stunning grounds of Scone Palace in Perthshire where the Loch Fyne Event Team are currently providing exquisite seafood for hungry visitors .
In a year where Scotland stands beneath a global spotlight we are thrilled to be showcasing the finest Scottish seafood at the Glasgow Festival 2014 from 23rd July to 3rd August. Historic locations throughout Glasgow will be transformed into ‘Live Zones’ featuring an exhilarating fusion of food, culture and entertainment.
Find us in the Scotland Food and Drink Village on Glasgow Green; we’ll be fuelling visitors from around the world with our gourmet goodies.
During this time Food from Argyll will provide catering at BBC at the Quay. Exhibiting fine, artisan Scottish foods, the Food from Argyll café will be situated next to the BBC headquarters at Pacific Quay which is easily accessible from the SECC and Hydro Arena. The menu celebrates the very best of our regions natural bounty and features Loch Fyne seafood, wild reared game, beef, pork, artisan cheeses and puddings.
The Glasgow Festival 2014 promises to be a once in a lifetime experience so don’t miss the celebrations and let’s face it – our city of culture knows how to throw a party!
